HOW TO WRITE A GOOD BOOK THAT SELLS

Writing a good book is different from writing a good book that sells. There are many writers who sell less and few writers who sell more.

Most successful writers may never want to tell you what they call their little secret on how they get their books sold out either because they never want you to be as successful as they are or perhaps want you to work so hard to achieve success all by yourself.

Trust me, this is a difficult road to work down I must say. I once worked through it and I had sweat and cold all over me the same time. I almost gave up but something kept me back, persistence and courage.

Book writing could be a business or hobby to some persons but I usually say it is a choice. Monetizing your content I am sure is what you want and that's why you are on this blog.

So let’s get started. I would love to reveal a few things here that would help. Hard work pays but knowledge is ultimately, power. There are few things I will be drawing your attention to and I would try to be concise as possible.

Writing is not just a talent thing but can be developed over time when the passion is there to put your pen to work. There are a lot of things happening around us today that can be pen down either as fiction or non-fiction. A good writer is never devoid of materials to work with. It is all about being creative and imaginative.

Actually, writing is a hard work that penetrates into your imaginative capabilities. That simply means you must be creative to construct something out of something and most times, nothing! You and I know that writing is time consuming and once you are not ready to burn up your time into writing, you will never give your best.

Therefore good book involves creativity, hard work input with a focus to achieve readability at the end from book lovers and that would ensure unlimited sale eventually. And I am sure this is what any hard working writer would like to see happen, more like a dream come through.

That said, first thing first. You must know what book you want to write on or good at, I mean genre like Children’s books, literature& fictions, Romance, teen and young adults, nonfiction, mystery & thrillers etc.

Once you know which category you fall into and you have a ready story or whatever you want to write about or develop and write on, then you are all set. Get a good book title and ensure story or ideas revolves round the title you are developing.

You definitely would have a unique style of writing that make you stand out and this is important. Trying to imitate others may necessarily not be to your advantage. You must note this, be yourself. If there is format or style you would love to adopt good but the content must be 100% yours nothing more or less.

You must sit down to write, think, imagine, and be creative to allow for uniqueness.

Novel writing for instance is of course one key area that require creativity or it will never get the deserve attention from people or fans.

Writing a good book is not a day’s work, it is like sketching and building a house. The foundation must be laid, and the other step by step actions must be made to happen. And then the finish house emerges. It takes quality time.

Book writing is work and if you don’t want to work, you can’t write a good book, period.

You must believe in yourself and never lost confidence. I have heard writers say I am not sure their book will sell. I know I didn’t do this or that. If you ask me I would just say you’ve given up already.

Now listen, you must put up a good story out there, story that will teach others to be better or to learn. A lot of people want to read about this, people want to improve themselves, their lives. They want to learn to better their family and all that. When such a story goes out there, people would want to get it at all cost.

The cover of your book is where the marketing of your book begins or starts. You must be creative in this.

The synopsis of your book should give readers a unique idea how it’s content would be and this is important. It must be captivating to get people’s attention and gets their eyes clued on it.

Good book must be edited properly. Don’t be in a hurry to release your book when you’ve not properly edited your book. It would be a mistake one too many and definitely have an adverse effect on sales which you would definitely not like. What is worth doing is worth doing well, got it?

Now you have finished your book. You must get into any book platform of your choice that will help in marketing it with ease.

I actually use Amazon which of course is my first and preferred choice to market my books.
